A brief introduction
Marjolein van Bommel (left in the photo) is passing the baton to Josine Gilissen (right). Josine became our new managing director in mid-March, making her the contact for all planning and reservations. She will be in Utrecht during the Tweetakt Festival.
ISHI at Tweetakt Festival in Utrecht
At this year’s Tweetakt Festival in Utrecht, we will be performing ISHI A bit of native wisdom in Theater De Paardenkathedraal on Sunday, 7 April, at 4:00 p.m. The performance will be shown with English supertitles.
Art project & teaching materials
In connection with ISHI, we developed an arts curriculum in which students explore how we interact with nature. The response has been fascinating: one boy who was convinced at first that he was not part of nature at all, now knows with certainty that he is! We will be organising a large art project for schools in connection with ISHI at our own studio from 2 to 18 April. Visitors of the Tweetakt Festival are warmly invited to come take a look. We just ask that you contact us first to make an appointment.
A new 4 and up performance
If you happen to be in Utrecht anyway for Tweetakt… Two young theatermakers (o.a. Henke Tuinstra, known from The great illusionist) have created a piece for us called WEIRD. It is a small, daylight production about how strange grown ups are, with music by Gábor Tarján and coached by Ramses Graus. If you are interested in seeing this work in progress at an elementary school (in Utrecht the first week of April), please contact us.
The Night Watchman to tour abroad
Our production The Night Watchman will be touring again in the autumn, including abroad! We are keeping it in the repertoire for a while, so if you are interested in showing it, please contact Josine Gilissen.
Coming soon: Back to Oz!
We are honored to be producing this year’s Christmas show for Stadsschouwburg Utrecht! Preparations are in full swing already. Back to Oz has everything a spectacular Christmas show needs. A script written by Don Duyns; a swinging band with musicians from K.O. Brass! and Slagwerk Den Haag playing music by Gábor Tarján; live video feed; eight fantastic actors and a happy ending. Back to Oz is musical theater that leaves you with a touch more heart, smarts and courage than you came in with!
